About Govt. Polytechnic College, Kulgam
Government Polytechnic College Kulgam is one of the 18 newly established polytechnics of J&K state. The Institution was established in May 2012 under the scheme “Construction of New Polytechnics in uncovered Districts of J&K”. Approximately 7.15 acres of land (map location: 330 38’ 28”N & 750 01’03”E) is allotted for the College near Sports Stadium Kulgam. The institute is located on Chamgund Road and is just 0.5 Km from the main town Kulgam.
At present the institution is offering 3 year Diploma in core branches of Civil and Electrical Engineering with a total intake capacity of 60+ 03(TFW) in each branch. Students are offered admissions on account of qualifying entrance examination followed by general counseling conducted by Board of Professional Entrance Examination, J&K. The institution is affiliated with State Board of Technical Education J&K and recognized by AICTE, New Delhi.\.

To become an acclaimed Technical Institution of learning and create a unique identity of Govt. Polytechnic College Kulgam by developing Technical manpower that will serve as a source of knowledge and expertise for the nation in general and state in particular.
